What you will do
- Lead first-level review of monthly revenue recognition activities and oversee complex contract reviews.
- Research and document accounting conclusions for complex revenue transactions and maintain revenue recognition policy.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Product, Data, and F&S to evaluate revenue implications of new initiatives.
- Strengthen documentation, review procedures, and revenue-related internal controls.
- Support external audit processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to the team.
Requirements
- 6–9+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant focus on revenue recognition.
- Strong technical knowledge of ASC 606, including contracts with multiple performance obligations, contract modifications, and SSP analysis.
- Experience reviewing complex contracts and non-standard deal structures.
- Experience leading or reviewing monthly revenue close processes.
- Demonstrated ability to research, document, and defend accounting conclusions.
- Experience working in a SaaS or technology company environment.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and audit requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- CPA and/or Big 4 public accounting experience.
- Experience drafting technical accounting memos for external auditors.
- Experience supporting pricing model evolution or new revenue streams.
- Exposure to IPO readiness or public company reporting environments.
- Experience driving revenue process automation or system enhancements.
