Clinical Research Scientist

TL;DR

Clinical Research Scientist: Designing and executing rigorous clinical and real-world research for health programs with an accent on adapting study designs, statistical analysis, and mitigating methodological risks. Focus on translating scientific findings into actionable insights for product strategy and claims development.

Location: This position is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week on-site required in one of our offices in New York, NY, USA or Princeton, NJ, USA.

Salary: $145,000–$197,000 (USD) annually

What you will do

• Design and execute clinical trials, pragmatic studies, and real-world evidence initiatives across health programs.
• Adapt study designs, endpoints, and levels of rigor based on business and regulatory requirements.
• Execute research across traditional site-based clinical settings and decentralized/virtual environments.
• Develop statistical analysis plans and oversee analytic execution with senior scientific review.
• Serve as lead or contributing author on peer-reviewed publications and scientific communications.
• Translate research findings into clear, defensible insights for product, marketing, medical, and legal/compliance stakeholders.

Requirements

• PhD with advanced training in clinical research methodology, behavioral science, and statistical analysis.
• 5–7+ years of related experience designing and executing rigorous clinical studies.
• Demonstrated understanding of the biological and behavioral mechanisms underlying GLP-1–based therapies.
• Hands-on experience executing clinical trials, including traditional site-based and decentralized/virtual designs.
• Strong statistical expertise and experience overseeing end-to-end analytic workflows.
• English: B2 required.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of experience in an academic research setting.
• At least 3 years of experience in a corporate or for-profit environment supporting evidence generation for consumer-facing products.
• Experience securing federal or peer-reviewed grant funding.
