What you will do
- Develop and optimize user interfaces using SAP UI5, SAP Fiori, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Work with Web Components (Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, HTML Templates, ES Modules) and ensure framework interoperability.
- Integrate with SAP technologies like CAP with OData, SAP Build Work Zone, and SAP Business Application Studio.
- Build and govern component libraries and design systems, including design tokens, theming, and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).
- Apply modern frontend tooling and architecture, including Webpack/Rollup/Vite, Jest/Testing Library/Playwright, Git workflows, and monorepo/micro-frontend approaches.
- Implement SAP UX patterns such as Fiori Elements and Flexible Programming Model, along with Web Vitals/performance best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a similar frontend engineering role.
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript for Web Components.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP UI5 Web Components, SAP Fiori Design System, CAP with OData integration, SAP Build Work Zone, and SAP Business Application Studio.
- Proven experience in building and governing component libraries and design systems, including documentation and live component playgrounds.
- Familiarity with modern frontend tooling and architecture such as Webpack/Rollup/Vite, Jest/Testing Library/Playwright, Git, and monorepo/micro-frontend approaches.
- English level of B2+ or higher.
- Availability for a hybrid work model, requiring 1 time a week presence in a Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra office.
- Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit is required.
