TL;DR

Financial Controller: Taking day-to-day ownership of the company's financial operations with an accent on driving operational efficiency, improving profit margins, and protecting financial health. Location: Remote-first, but must be within commutable distance to London, UK for regular in-person meetings.

Salary: £70,000–£80,000 per annum plus bonus

What you will do

  • Drive the production of accurate, meaningful, and timely management and financial accounts.
  • Measure and report profitability and other key performance indicators.
  • Manage payroll, tax compliance (including IR35 processes and R&D claims), and cash flows.
  • Support the budgeting process and projecting and reporting financial results.
  • Ensure the time recording system is complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Supervise and develop the Finance Team and ensure financial governance of the company, including audit, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Financial Controller in a business that operates a time recording system.
  • Commercially focused with an ability to interpret contractual obligations.
  • Practical experience in extracting, manipulating, analysing, and interpreting data.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate reporting to demanding deadlines.
