Location: Hybrid in Brno, Czech Republic. Applicants must be based in the Czech Republic or have sponsorship to live and work in the Czech Republic.

What you will do

• Write and optimize Golang code for DNS gateways built on CoreDNS.
• Work on supporting Java services.
• Scale systems to handle significant traffic growth.
• Improve system operability and reliability through better monitoring, alerting, and synthetic monitoring.
• Join the on-call rotation.
• Contribute to broader engineering initiatives and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Golang and solid experience with Java.
• Experience building, scaling for high availability, or operating distributed systems and/or high-throughput infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD practices.
• Understanding of observability practices (metrics, alerting, dashboards, and SLOs).
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and incorporating them into workflows.
• Must be based in the Czech Republic or have sponsorship to live and work in the Czech Republic.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with DNS, network protocols, or edge computing.
