TL;DR

Planning Senior Executive (Media): Supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon through media planning and campaign management, with an accent on learning media systems, analysing reports, and effective client communication. Focus on developing media planning knowledge across channels, understanding DE+I and carbon conscious media, and supporting financial processes for campaigns.

Location: Hybrid in London, UK. Must be based in the UK and have the right to work there.

What you will do

  • Develop media planning knowledge across channels, including DE+I planning and carbon conscious media.
  • Learn and utilize media systems and tools such as TGI, Pathmatics, AdIntel, and Open AI.
  • Run and analyze reports including competitive and audience insights.
  • Learn the fundamentals of effective campaign management and assist with financial processes.
  • Update internal and external status reports, and coordinate regular client and creative agency meetings.
  • Work with activation teams to deliver responses and tactical plans, aligning objectives with line manager and agency vision.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding and competence in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Awareness and curiosity about the media and marketing industry, including trends and challenges or concepts.
  • Ability to research wider industry topics and summarize information into findings to be shared.
  • Broad understanding of industry tools, technology, techniques, and systems (e.g., TGI, Adintel, Pathmatics).
  • Ability to run simple tasks independently and present to clients or package for the wider team.
  • Must have the right to work in this location (UK).

  • Demonstrates curiosity by asking questions around communication frameworks, plans, approaches, trends and innovations.
  • Demonstrates willingness to input into new projects and ideation sessions.
  • Assists in the development of communications frameworks and cross media strategy.
  • Supports with data reporting, audience intelligence and production of client facing presentations.
  • Has basic understanding of media channel dynamics and can discuss how each channel might add to the overall plan.
