Director of Product (Insurtech)

TL;DR

Director of Product (Insurtech): Leading the development and execution of hirify.global's product strategy, ensuring products meet customer needs and commercial objectives with an accent on effective implementation of product development process, market analysis, and revenue maximization. Focus on defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps, while coaching and developing product teams.

Location: Hybrid, requiring a minimum two days in-office attendance at our Worcester or Winchester office. Candidates must live within a 50-mile commutable distance to one of these offices.

What you will do

• Lead the effective implementation and continuous improvement of hirify.global’s Product Development Process (PDP).
• Define and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, roadmap, and release plans.
• Collaborate with senior leaders across technology, marketing, sales, and operations for successful product delivery.
• Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and market trends to inform product decisions.
• Identify and assess new product opportunities, enhancements, and potential market expansions.
• Lead, coach, and develop the product team, fostering a culture of customer focus and high performance.

Requirements

• Significant experience in product management, with ownership of the product lifecycle in a senior leadership role.
• Experience managing cloud-based software products in a B2B, multi-channel environment.
• Experience within the fintech and/or insurtech industry.
• Proven experience of taking new products to market, from concept through to launch.
• Experience building, developing, and leading product teams.
• Strong decision-making skills, balancing strategic thinking and pragmatic delivery.
• Experience working with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience working in both scale-up and well-established organisations.
• Background spanning product, technical, and/or commercial roles.
• Experience contributing to business transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to working in a Private Equity-backed environment.
