What you will do

• Explore solutions to interesting problems using large language models, statistical methods, and classical machine learning.
• Work both as an independent researcher and in team collaborations.
• Integrate machine learning models into the broader software stack.
• Optimise solutions for low latency and minimal memory usage for deployment across various environments, including edge devices.
• Collaborate with software engineers to test and implement research outcomes.

Requirements

• PhD or master's degree in machine learning or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Python machine learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Deep understanding of large language models and their applications (e.g., transfer learning, embeddings, generative usage, agentic functionality).
• Ability to operate autonomously and take independent decisions while being a team player.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with standard tooling for agentic systems (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain, smolagents) and supporting infrastructure (e.g., MCP servers, vector databases, memory components, ontologies).
• Experience working with low-code and high-code cloud AI services (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Vertex AI, and Copilot Studio).
• Solid grounding in a variety of machine learning techniques.
• Comfortable using Linux and Git.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and common threats, particularly those relevant to AI systems.
