Manager, Application Security

TL;DR

Manager, Application Security: Building and leading an Offensive Application Security team focused on securing hirify.global’s applications, developers, and codebase. Focus on finding and fixing code-level vulnerabilities, building internal security tooling, and performing threat modeling and vulnerability remediation.

Location: Hybrid work environment, with expectation for local hirify.globalns (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin and Sydney) to be in office min. twice per week. Role is available to candidates across Canada, excluding Quebec.

Salary: $176,000 to $264,000 CAD

What you will do

• Hire, mentor, and grow a team of Offensive Application Security engineers.
• Define the long-term roadmap for the offensive security team.
• Collaborate with other hirify.global teams to help develop products or features leveraging secure development practices.
• Lead security incidents, recovery, and remediation efforts, along with post-incident forensics.
• Triage and administer our Bug Bounty program.
• Elevate and educate our security culture within hirify.global.

Requirements

• Experienced security leader with software development background.
• Experience working with full-stack developers.
• Security certifications like OSCP, OSWE, etc.
• Prior experience with Ruby, Rails, Python, and/or Django applications
