What you will do
- Lead data‑driven governance for stakeholder forums—elevating the quality, speed, and transparency of decisions across the organisation.
- Empower and mentor junior colleagues to foster a high‑performing, engaged team culture.
- Champion automation, driving both Control and Process Automation within the Group Payments Performance Office.
- Lead requirement‑gathering discussions with business stakeholders to understand objectives, define data needs, and identify relevant data sources.
- Perform rigorous data quality assurance, validating inputs and outputs, challenging anomalies, and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across all reporting.
- Manage data requirements, lineage, and governance controls, ensuring adherence to Group policies and enabling robust data oversight.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering advanced analytics and self-serve reporting solutions within a regulated or complex financial services environment.
- Extensive experience in designing and building new reports and insights, including data ingestion, transformation from multiple sources, and the creation of impactful visualisations.
- Significant experience in developing and delivering complex analytics and insights using advanced analytics tools (e.g., advanced Excel, SQL, Python) and data visualisation platforms (e.g., Power BI).
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, influence effectively, and collaborate across cross-functional teams and departments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Power BI, JIRA with a track record of creating high-quality governance materials for senior stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement mindset, leveraging data analytics and automation to drive innovation and operational excellence.
