Senior Python Engineer (AI/ML, Data)

What you will do

• Lead a small team developing complex data pipelines, AI/ML systems, and software solutions.
• Manage technical objectives while maintaining a hands-on contribution to Python development.
• Design, implement, and optimize scalable and maintainable data pipelines.
• Drive software architecture and design decisions across the business-facing technology organization.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with researchers, portfolio managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Research, design, code, test, and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Python developer, focused on data engineering and AI/ML systems.
• Expert knowledge of Python and its ecosystem, including Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines and working with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from a top-tier institution.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch or scikit-learn.
• Experience with large language models, AI agents, or systems of agents.
• Finance industry experience.
