What you will do

• Gather and analyze user/client requirements to create software requirements specifications.
• Write and implement source codes of embedded systems and enhance existing systems.
• Test and debug embedded system software to improve code quality and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with other teams to provide post-production support.
• Design, develop, and test software components for machine, engine, display, and telematics control platforms.
• Evaluate operational performance of overall systems, including hardware and software interfaces.

Requirements

• Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
• Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis.
• Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs.
• Knowledge of software development tools and activities.
• Experience in developing and testing embedded C code for RTOS.
• Experience with CAN/J1939 protocols and Ethernet, and Git for version control.

Nice to have

• Experience using real-time operating systems and object-oriented design patterns.
• Experience with unit testing and static code analysis tools.
• Experience using debugging tools for embedded systems (e.g., Lauterbach, GDB, Wireshark).
