Emulation Engineer

TL;DR

Emulation Engineer: Building and debugging core-only emulation models for E-core projects, executing random instruction tests, and finding CPU bugs with an accent on developing, integrating, testing, and debugging hardware and software collateral in simulation, emulation, and FPGA models. Focus on enabling acceleration of RTL development and improving emulation/FPGA model usability for pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation.

Location: Onsite in Austin, Texas, US.

Salary: $122,440.00–$232,190.00 USD

What you will do

• Build emulation and FPGA models and solutions from RTL design using synthesis, partitioning, and routing tools.
• Develop, integrate, test, and debug hardware and software collateral in simulation, emulation, and FPGA models.
• Define and develop new capabilities and tools to achieve better verification through improved emulation and FPGA model usability.
• Enable acceleration of RTL development and improve emulation/FPGA model usability for pre-silicon verification, post-silicon validation, and software development.
• Develop improvements to usability by RTL validation and debugging of failing RTL tests on the emulation platform.
• Collaborate with design, power and performance, silicon validation, and software teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience building emulation/FPGA models OR experience developing BFMs, testbench, and transactors.
• Proficient in SystemVerilog, C++, Python, and Perl.
• On-site presence is required in Austin, Texas, US.
