TL;DR
Compliance & Impact Reporting Specialist (Sustainability): Leading the production and assurance of the annual Impact Report, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations like CSRD. Focus on coordinating data governance, external KPI assurance, and strengthening monitoring and evaluation practices for industry change.
Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Must be based in the Netherlands. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Salary: €55,000–€70,000 per year, including holiday pay.

What you will do
- Lead the annual publishing of Tony’s Open Chain Impact Report, aligning with external reporting standards (e.g., GRI, CSRD).
- Drive external KPI assurance by coordinating inputs, timelines, and evidence for independent substantiation.
- Define, update, and maintain TOC’s external KPIs for relevance, robustness, and year-on-year progress.
- Formulate claims and guide responsible communications in line with legislative developments (e.g., EmpCo, Green Claims Directive).
- Coordinate due diligence documentation and transparency, translating work into clear policies and publications.
- Lead evidence-based Evaluation & Learning, strengthening MEL practices and integrating risk data into learning cycles.
- Benchmark and build thought leadership through research partnerships and integrating external findings into strategy.
Requirements
- Strong experience in integrated reporting, external validation, and assurance processes.
- Working knowledge of (or strong learning agility toward) CSRD, GRI, CSDDD, and relevant due diligence requirements.
- Very strong project management skills, balancing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Ability to write crisp, clear, and credible stories with data, summarizing complex information accurately.
- Strategic thinking to future-proof KPI frameworks, spot trends, and translate insights into action.
- Excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills in English.
- Commitment to working in the Amsterdam office 2-3 days per week.
- No work visa sponsorship available for the Netherlands.
Nice to have
- Experience with impact measurement / MEL frameworks.
- Experience with cocoa or agricultural sustainability programs.
- Experience working in (or alongside) multi-partner initiatives.
- Knowledge of French.
