What you will do

• Plan, schedule, and curate social media channels for hirify.global Radio 1Xtra.
• Devise and support large social campaigns, reacting quickly to news.
• Create relatable, authentic, and engaging short-form video content for social channels.
• Task manage the 1Xtra social media team and external suppliers.
• Ensure content adheres to compliance and Ofcom policies.
• Collaborate daily with 1Xtra production and commissioning to develop social strategy.

Requirements

• Passion and thorough understanding of 1Xtra's output and purpose for celebrating Black music and culture in the UK.
• Thorough knowledge of social video platforms and how users discover music and audio.
• Substantial experience as a social media manager with a track record in engaging young audiences.
• Strong video and image editing skills, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with social media analytics to inform content decisions.
• Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills to maintain effective working relationships.
