Senior Financial Accountant

TL;DR

Senior Financial Accountant: Participate in all activities related to full-cycle accounting of the Consensus business with an accent on Revenue Accounting and Corporate Accounting. Focus on analyzing financial data to identify issues and inconsistencies, assisting in internal financial reporting, and providing technical accounting guidance.

Location: Fully remote within the U.S. (Preferred to work PST hours)

Salary: $105,000 - $120,000 annually

What you will do

• Prepare and record journal entries, primarily in revenue and equity cycles, using adequate supporting documentation.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts as part of the month-end close cycle and review other relevant accounting modules.
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts between US and Local GAAP ledgers, recording all differences correctly.
• Prepare various monthly adhoc reporting and Non-GAAP schedules and adjustments.
• Contribute to audit and tax preparation by providing requested documentation and analysis.
• Identify risks, implement controls, and maintain proper process documentation in accordance with SOX regulations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges due to business growth and drive process improvements.
• Assist in technical accounting research activities, including evaluation and implementation of new accounting standards and policies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of strong GL monthly close and GL process flow experience.
• 3+ years experience working with ERP systems, Oracle Fusion Cloud is a plus.
• Strong G/L analysis and understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting tight monthly/quarterly deadlines.
• Must be able to work fully remote within the U.S.
• Not eligible for sponsorship.

Nice to have

• 2+ years experience on treatment of SaaS based customer/vendor contracts (ASC 606; revenue recognition).
• Public Accounting experience/US technical accounting experience.
• Publicly traded company/SEC experience.
• Experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud.
• Experience on preparing consolidated financial statements.
• Understanding of foreign exchange gains and losses.
