TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Go): Building and operating data services that process, store, and deliver health records for millions of patients with an accent on low latency and high-availability operations. Location: This role can be hybrid in Boston, MA, or mostly remote. Remote work requires candidates to be based in EST/CST timezones, with willingness to travel for in-person collaboration occasionally.

Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 a year

What you will do

• Build and operate data services driving applications and APIs.
• Collaborate across Engineering to iteratively prototype and develop new functionality.
• Provide technical leadership, contributing to the architecture and design of the team's systems.
• Coach other engineers to improve their skills.
• Partner with product managers and other Zusers.

Requirements

• Experience with operationally stable and cost-efficient data services.
• Enjoy owning your work and seeing it deploy safely in production.
• Jazzed to build backend services in Go.
• Experience with at least one of the following: deployment technologies (GitHub Actions, CodeDeploy, CircleCI), cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Ability to thrive amid the changing landscape of a growing and evolving startup.
• Enjoy collaboration and solving unique problems.

Nice to have

• Experience in building and running large-scale systems in the cloud using Go.
• Experience using Postgres and its search capabilities.
• Knowledge about application security.
• Experience working with healthcare data and APIs.
• Familiarity with the FHIR and/or TEFCA standards.
