Location: Hybrid in Richmond, UK. Opportunity to work from abroad 2 weeks every 6 months.

What you will do

• Provide technical direction and architectural input for squad initiatives, owning the design of scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.
• Conduct code reviews, contribute hands-on to coding, and research new technologies.
• Lead and mentor engineers through regular 1:1s and career conversations, fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
• Drive sprint ceremonies (planning, refinement, retrospectives, standups) and manage sprint commitments and velocity tracking.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define and maintain the squad roadmap, plan and deliver high-impact features.
• Communicate squad progress and risks to stakeholders and help prioritise work based on business impact.

Requirements

• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced, product-led environment.
• Comfortable balancing hands-on coding with coaching, planning, and delivery.
• Experience architecting scalable systems and working in distributed environments.
• Highly collaborative, able to partner with Product, Design, and other stakeholders.
• Passionate about engineering excellence, team growth, and continuous improvement.
