What you will do

• Own major backend features end-to-end.
• Work closely with the lead engineer on architecture and technical direction.
• Make product and technical decisions.
• Improve reliability, observability, and foundations as the product scales.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend experience and strong fundamentals.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and making judgment calls.
• Capable of shipping high-quality work without hand-holding.
• Experience scaling a system to a high volume of users.
• Confidence and responsibility in using AI tools.
• Location: Based in London and able to work hybrid (~3 days per week in person).
