TL;DR

Design Squad Lead (Fintech): Leading an experience design team to craft quality financial advice service experiences, working across the entire service journey. Focus on applying design thinking methods, influencing stakeholders with evidence-based design, and developing team members while contributing to service and digital product design.

Location: Hybrid in Edinburgh, UK (at least two days per week in the office).

Salary: £78,098–£91,880

What you will do

  • Lead an experience design team responsible for a new financial advice service.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritise, shape, test, and ship experiences.
  • Provide thought leadership in Experience Design crafts and facilitate workshops.
  • Research current-state services and communicate future-state visions.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering their development.
  • Contribute hands-on to service and digital product design, from needs definition to Figma delivery.

Requirements

  • At least 7-9 years of relevant experience design experience as an individual contributor/lead designer.
  • Approximately 2-3 years or more experience as a people leader, with responsibilities in hiring, people development, and performance management.
  • A portfolio demonstrating skilful application of design methods that delivered business and customer outcomes.
  • Experience in the financial sector, understanding ethics, risks, policies, and compliance when designing services.
  • Passion and interest for designing financial services and user experiences.

  • Ability to prioritise valuable work.
