Location: Remote (Pacific Time Hours Required: 8:00am–5:00pm PT)
Salary: USD $175,000 - $250,000 excluding annual bonus and equity (when applicable).

What you will do
- Define and own the technical vision and architecture for the School Pathways platform.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
- Drive modernization of the platform, including infrastructure, APIs, performance optimization, and AI-first capabilities.
- Partner with Product to translate vision and roadmap into technical strategy and execution plans.
- Establish engineering best practices, development standards, and operational excellence.
- Ensure platform security, data privacy, and compliance with education regulations.
Requirements
- Senior engineering leadership experience, ideally as a CTO, VP of Engineering, Director, or similar role.
- Deep technical expertise in SaaS architecture, infrastructure, and modern development practices.
- Experience building SaaS products where AI capabilities are foundational to the value proposition (e.g., predictive insights, automation, personalization, intelligent workflows).
- Proven ability to scale platforms and teams in a growing organization.
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and reliability in enterprise software.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute pragmatically and a collaborative leadership style with strong cross-functional partnership skills.
