Location: Remote (Pacific Time Hours Required: 8:00am–5:00pm PT)

Salary: USD $175,000 - $250,000 excluding annual bonus and equity (when applicable).

What you will do

• Define and own the technical vision and architecture for the School Pathways platform.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
• Drive modernization of the platform, including infrastructure, APIs, performance optimization, and AI-first capabilities.
• Partner with Product to translate vision and roadmap into technical strategy and execution plans.
• Establish engineering best practices, development standards, and operational excellence.
• Ensure platform security, data privacy, and compliance with education regulations.

Requirements

• Senior engineering leadership experience, ideally as a CTO, VP of Engineering, Director, or similar role.
• Deep technical expertise in SaaS architecture, infrastructure, and modern development practices.
• Experience building SaaS products where AI capabilities are foundational to the value proposition (e.g., predictive insights, automation, personalization, intelligent workflows).
• Proven ability to scale platforms and teams in a growing organization.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and reliability in enterprise software.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to execute pragmatically and a collaborative leadership style with strong cross-functional partnership skills.
