Location: Redwood City, CA. Must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and for the duration of employment. Non-immigrant visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Salary: $207,000–$243,000 annually.

What you will do

• Architect and develop scalable, fault-tolerant MCP-first platforms.
• Build federated context systems for agents to retrieve and reason over context.
• Lead the design of resilient agent-to-tool communication frameworks.
• Architect integrations with communication platforms like Slack and Microsoft Teams.
• Drive technical leadership and mentor engineers on AI infrastructure best practices.
• Own production readiness, incident response, and operational excellence for the platform.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience building large-scale, distributed backend systems.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Strong backend programming skills in Java, Scala, Go, or Python with solid OOP principles.
• Hands-on experience building or operating MCP servers or similar agent protocols.
• Experience with AWS cloud-native services and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CI/CD).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with tool calling or plugin systems.
• Familiarity with communication platforms like Slack or Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with distributed tracing, metrics, and structured logging (OpenTelemetry).
