Location: Based in Lisbon, Portugal, with a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office. Excellent relocation package available for those living outside of Portugal.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve microservices as part of an end-to-end responsible team.
• Collaborate with product designers, product owners, and other engineers to share new ideas and improve processes.
• Support the engineering culture by documenting and advocating for best development practices.
• Improve product quality by fixing bugs and refactoring the code base as needed.
• Test new technologies and participate in a dedicated Technical Week to promote creativity, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with customer-facing products in related industries like e-commerce, fintechs, or SaaS.
• 4+ years of software development experience with OOP.
• Experience designing, implementing, and deploying backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency, and consistency.
• Good understanding of API design and familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Comfortable raising concerns, sharing new ideas, documenting, and finding opportunities for solution alternatives.
