Salary: $196,000 - $278,100 USD (for SF Bay Area, Seattle, New York City, and Los Angeles) / $177,000 - $250,300 USD (for all other remote US locations)

What you will do

• Architect knowledge systems for AI agent retrieval accuracy and relevance.
• Build decision frameworks to drive automated resolution rates without human intervention.
• Establish guardrails for AI safety and trust, preventing unintended behaviors.
• Monitor agent behavior through an observability layer to drive continuous improvements.
• Develop and maintain prompt architecture for agent reasoning and responses.
• Define integration strategy for agents connecting to external systems, ensuring uptime and data accuracy.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of large language models, including RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and agent frameworks.
• Experience building or contributing to AI-powered systems in production.
• Ability to design complex, powerful, and reliable data flows, state management, and error handling systems.
• Proficiency in scripting, working with APIs, querying databases, and prototyping solutions.
• Skilled in instrumenting systems, analyzing logs, defining metrics, and tying technical changes to business outcomes.
• Ability to explain complex AI system behavior to non-technical stakeholders and write clear technical documentation.
