TL;DR

Data Resilience Technology Specialist: Designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure resilience solutions across on‑prem and cloud environments with an accent on defining and delivering hosting and recovery strategies for critical platforms. Focus on developing and automating recovery runbooks, leading disaster recovery drills, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Location: Hybrid, requiring 40% (two days) in the London office. Must be based in Manchester, Edinburgh, or Birmingham.

Salary: £70,929 – £78,810

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure resilience solutions across on‑prem and cloud environments.
  • Define and deliver hosting and recovery strategies for critical platforms and services.
  • Develop and automate recovery runbooks for infrastructure and application services.
  • Lead and run disaster recovery drills with Network, Infrastructure, Platform, and Data teams.
  • Protect core platforms including databases, messaging queues, batch schedulers, and file/object stores.
  • Ensure compliance with resilience standards and regulatory requirements (PRA SS1/21, FCA PS21/3, DORA).

Requirements

  • Hands-on delivery experience of infrastructure solutions for resilience and recovery.
  • Expertise in cloud and on-premise compute, storage, networking, segmentation, and connectivity.
  • Proven disaster recovery experience, including automated restore, rebuild, and cutover processes.
  • Experience with backup and recovery for databases, messaging queues, batch jobs, and large-scale data stores.
  • Strong ITIL knowledge (Major Incident, Problem, Change leadership) and ServiceNow experience (CMDB modelling, workflow automation).
  • Proficiency in automation skills such as PowerShell, Python, or Terraform.
