TL;DR

Senior Business Development Manager (LegalTech): Driving strategic growth and revenue expansion within the legal technology market with an accent on consultative selling and achieving personal sales targets. Focus on building trusted, long-term client relationships and collaborating on global sales strategies within Southern Africa.

Location: Hybrid in Johannesburg, South Africa. All applicants must have the legal right to live and work in South Africa.

What you will do

  • Understand the legal industry and market segment to integrate knowledge into consultative selling.
  • Demonstrate legal industry-specific applications to small to medium-sized law firms.
  • Generate leads through networking and direct contact with key prospects.
  • Maintain relationships with material clients throughout the post-sale system implementation process.
  • Take responsibility for achieving personal sales targets and contributing to company-wide targets.
  • Travel throughout Southern Africa as needed to understand markets and drive sales activity.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in legal practice management or with a legal practice management technology provider.
  • Deep understanding of the legal industry and a strong commercial mindset.
  • Proven ability to build trusted, long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tenacious and resilient nature.
  • Legal right to live and work in South Africa is required.

Nice to have

  • Sales or customer relationship management experience is beneficial.
  • Availability to travel both domestically and internationally for group activities.
