TechOps Engineer (Cloud)

TL;DR

TechOps Engineer (Cloud): Owning and managing a cloud-first environment, ensuring security, compliance, and productivity for a global workforce on Macs and Chromebooks with an accent on platform management, identity & access, and endpoint engineering. Focus on driving technical projects, building automations, and preparing for audits and certifications like ISO:27001.

Location: Mostly remote, with occasional trips to the office for team days. Must be in a commutable distance of either London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds or Edinburgh.

What you will do

• Administer Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, managing migrations, licensing, and cross-platform integrations.
• Manage Okta lifecycle, MFA enforcement, and SSO integrations for enterprise applications.
• Engineer endpoints using MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf, Kandji, Google Endpoint) for zero-touch deployment.
• Maintain and monitor Anti-Malware/EDR tooling, ensuring alignment with ISO:27001 standards and assisting in audit preparations.
• Administer Slack, including app integrations, workflow builder, and enterprise grid management.
• Champion ITIL best practices for Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management.
• Monitor new and emerging vulnerabilities to tech stack, testing and implementing patches in line with policy.

Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years in a TechOps, Systems Admin, or IT Engineering role in a high-growth environment.
• Deep technical knowledge of Apple macOS and ChromeOS (hardware and software lifecycle).
• Proven track record of administering Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365.
• Hands-on experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Anti-Malware/EDR (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
• Practical understanding of ISO:27001 controls and how they translate to technical configurations.
• Strong understanding of the ITIL framework.

Nice to have

• Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Apps Script).
• Experience with BetterCloud or other SaaS Management Platforms (SMP).
• Experience managing Zoom Rooms or modern AV hardware.
• Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure Services such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Experience with AI tooling (Gemini, Claude etc).
