What you will do

• Produce rigorous analyses for the Home General Manager, requiring only light-touch technical review.
• Proactively make recommendations for rating actions based on observations and business understanding.
• Understand and present the most relevant views from analysed data given the context and stakeholder brief.
• Conduct all elements of the role with commercial pragmatism, balancing technical best practice with speed to market.
• Prioritise competing directions effectively based on likely additional value provided to the business.
• Collaborate proactively with the MI and Database teams to enhance data available for the Home product.

Requirements

• Background in personal lines insurance pricing, with experience in multiple aspects (risk, demand, market/street pricing, expenses) and the UK market.
• Specific Household experience is an advantage.
• Strong statistical understanding and experience leveraging machine learning for production and analysis.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Excellent pattern recognition with proven ability to deduce why a pattern is occurring.
• High-level bachelor’s degree in a numerate discipline or equivalent proficiency by experience.
