Senior Software Engineer (Data Platform): Architecting, building, and maintaining data infrastructure and tools to enable data-driven insights with an accent on handling vast amounts of clickstream, database, and third-party application data efficiently in batch and real-time. Focus on developing software, data architectures, and data delivery, ensuring full ownership from requirements to production monitoring and troubleshooting.
Location: Hybrid (US & Canada). Employees based in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City are expected to work from the office 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role).
Salary: $163,000-$204,000/year in Denver, $178,000-$223,000/year in Los Angeles, and $197,000-$247,000/year for San Francisco, New York, and Seattle.

What you will do
- Architect, build, and refine data infrastructure and tools that enable other teams to work with data.
- Efficiently handle vast amounts of clickstream, database, and third-party application data, processing in batch and real-time.
- Take full ownership of the solutions you build, from developing requirements to monitoring production and troubleshooting problems.
- Collaborate closely with Data Science, Business Intelligence, and analysts across teams.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience building solutions in the cloud, AWS preferred (Redshift, MSK, EMR).
- Experience with OLAP databases (Clickhouse).
- Experience building data pipelines at scale, Airflow and Python preferred.
- Ability to turn vague requirements into clear deliverables with minimal guidance.
- Experience building and maintaining a modern data stack in production.

- Experience with streaming systems (Kafka, Kinesis, or similar).
