Enterprise Application AI Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA — hybrid, with office attendance approximately 2–3 days per week. The San Francisco office expectation covers the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas. Approved work from other locations requires a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection.

Salary: $225,000–$250,000 per year in San Francisco, Seattle, and New York; $185,000–$205,000 per year in Denver and most remote locations.

What you will do

• Translate Finance and Business Operations needs into AI workflows and agentic automation.
• Develop and maintain Model Context Protocols connecting NetSuite, Zuora, Jira, and other enterprise systems to AI agents.
• Create intelligent agents for onboarding, billing support, compliance monitoring, and related enterprise processes.
• Govern the lifecycle of MCPs and agents while maintaining data governance, privacy, security, SOX compliance, auditability, and access controls.
• Define and track KPIs for automation adoption, efficiency, accuracy, reliability, and cost performance.
• Partner with IT, Security, and business stakeholders to build reusable AI frameworks and promote safe AI-enabled workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, Enterprise Applications, or Automation roles.
• Experience building and maintaining integrations using APIs, JSON, and RESTful services, including systems such as Jira or NetSuite.
• Hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or MCP.
• Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar LLM platforms and practical prompt engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for automation, orchestration, and scalable AI workflow development.
• Strong documentation, analytical, stakeholder communication, security, privacy, compliance, and audit-control skills.
