Principal Data Scientist (AI): Leveraging experimentation, statistical inference, and causal analysis to drive strategic decision making for product success, with an accent on defining metrics, delivering insights from Payroll, Benefits, and HR data, and integrating AI. Focus on shaping analytical strategy, driving org-level analytical roadmaps, and innovating with statistical modeling and AI-assisted analytics.

Location: Remote from Denver, San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle (US) or Toronto (Canada). For employees based in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City, office attendance is required approximately 2-3 days per week.

Salary: $184,000/yr – $250,000/yr

What you will do

• Shape analytical strategy for a major product or business area, identifying high-leverage opportunities and aligning executive stakeholders.
• Drive and execute org-level analytical roadmaps, ensuring consistent rigor and metric integrity across product domains.
• Scale impact by developing frameworks for experimentation, causal analysis, and metric design across multiple teams.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior product, engineering, and business leaders, proactively defining success measures.
• Innovate statistical modeling, experimentation, and AI-assisted analytics to expand how hirify.global leverages data.
• Mentor and coach junior data scientists, raising the bar for analytical thinking and storytelling.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Data Science at a product-focused software company.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Proven ability to apply statistical methods, causal inference, and experimental design to real business problems.
• Excellent communication skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
• Demonstrated experience leading large, technically complex projects with clear business impact.
• BS/MS/PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Applied Math, etc.) or equivalent industry experience.
