TL;DR

Data Scientist: Developing and implementing evidence and critical insights through diverse data sources, including Real World Data and trial data, to support clinical/scientific programs and regulatory submissions with an accent on study design, statistical planning, and real-world evidence generation. Focus on applying advanced statistical methods to large-scale datasets, crafting machine learning models, and translating analytical findings to achieve business objectives and market access.

Location: Irvine, CA, United States or Alton, US. This is an onsite position.

Salary: $100,000–$140,000

What you will do

• Contribute to study protocols and designs, developing statistical analysis plans and innovative methodologies for multimodal datasets.
• Implement real-world evidence (RWE) generation strategies using clinical study data and Real World Data.
• Apply advanced statistical methods to large-scale datasets, including EHRs, claims, and longitudinal cohort studies.
• Develop and execute data management plans, performing data cleaning, manipulation, and database management.
• Craft machine learning models to improve hirify.global products' accuracies and ease of use.
• Translate analytical findings into compelling narratives and visualizations for business objectives and market access.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the medical device, pharma or healthcare industry, preferably in health economics, epidemiology, or real-world evidence generation.
• Familiarity with clinical development processes, research study designs, and data analysis methods.
• Proficiency in applied statistics, statistical programming, and database languages (SQL, R, Python, MATLAB, Pandas).
• Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Health Economics, Mathematics, Physics or similar quantitative discipline preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience working with patient monitoring solutions and wearables data.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras.
• Knowledge of endpoint validation frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA/EMA).
