Altium is growing and we are looking for a new Account Manager (“Account Manager”) (m/f) to drive our growth in the assigned region. The primary role of the Account Manager is to build new customers and leverage relationships with existing customers to expand and upsell products and services.
● Build and nurture relationships with new and existing customers, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Altium’s solutions.
● Ensure high post-sales satisfaction, driving renewals and long-term partnerships.
● Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
● Present Altium’s value proposition through online presentations to engineering teams, management, and C-level executives.
● Maintain detailed and accurate records of sales activities in Altium’s CRM system.
● Execute specialized projects such as call-out campaigns and customer data updates.
● Develop and implement strategies to expand Altium’s customer base and enhance market penetration.
● Track and manage subscription renewal dates within the assigned territory to maximize retention.
● Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing and customer success teams, to drive customer engagement and revenue growth.
● Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and Altium’s evolving product offerings.
● Office based in Bangalore with potential travel within India
● Bachelor's degree in business, communication, or a related field is desirable or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
● 5+ years of experience in software sales, preferably with a focus on annual subscriptions and maintenance contracts; ECAD, MCAD, or PLM experience is a strong plus.
● Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing and coaching sales teams.
● Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
● Self-driven and results-oriented with a passion for sales and business growth.
● Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce is highly desirable.
● Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional Indian languages is a plus
