UX Designer - Everyday Banking Platform (Fintech)

Location: Edinburgh, with a hybrid pattern requiring at least two days per week or 40% of working time in the Edinburgh office

Salary: £61,344–£68,160 per year

What you will do

• Design cohesive end-to-end user experiences for business banking customers.
• Use design-system components to balance content and user-interface elements across customer journeys.
• Create prototypes using tools such as Sketch, InVision, Figma, Axure, or Adobe XD.
• Balance business requirements with user needs by using research insights and usability feedback.
• Adapt designs to platform constraints and collaborate with developers through delivery.
• Advocate for inclusive and accessible experiences for customers of different ages, backgrounds, and technical abilities.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in user experience or interaction design.
• Strong experience as an Interaction Designer, UX Designer, or Visual Designer.
• Experience owning interaction-design projects from concept through delivery.
• Strong prototyping, layout, and communication skills.
• Experience working with design systems and recommending improvements or extensions.
• Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative research and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience working in financial services or another complex landscape.
