What you will do

• Build and maintain large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Design and implement API extensions and work with various databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, including unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate effectively with a distributed international team.
• Work with cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Python web development, with strong preference for Flask or FastAPI.
• Profound knowledge of SQLAlchemy and experience with API extensions.
• Proven experience working with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Practical experience with GCP (Cloud Run, Tasks, Storage) and AWS (S3, Lambda, SQS).
• Strong background in building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• English: Upper-intermediate level (B2) required for effective international collaboration.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Connexion (OpenAPI) and Alembic for database migrations.
• Experience with GCP Document AI.
• Experience setting up or maintaining GitHub Actions workflows and working with AWS ECS/Fargate.
• Experience integrating Authentication platforms (e.g., Stytch) and Payment Gateways (e.g., Stripe, WorldPay).
• Experience with asynchronous frameworks or libraries (FastAPI, Gevent).
