What you will do

• Define and communicate core technical practices and principles, aligning with company culture.
• Support the Engineering team with learning and growth opportunities, fostering a coaching culture.
• Prioritise engineering-led initiatives (technical debt, innovation, security) and coordinate with the product roadmap.
• Partner with SVP Engineering to set technical strategy and roadmap aligned with company objectives.
• Attract, recruit, and retain talent, and advocate for hirify.global at external events.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure product development alignment.

Requirements

• Experience scaling and managing diverse engineering teams, attracting, developing, and retaining talent.
• Experienced background in software development with strong technical aptitude for reviewing designs and helping senior engineers.
• Experience defining and operationalising a multi-year tech strategy and roadmap.
• Ability to work collaboratively across the Product Squad and the wider company.
• Strong decision-making skills and ownership of complex engineering initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Passion for integrating AI tools and LLMs to enhance engineering practices, streamline workflows, and accelerate delivery.
