TL;DR

Location: On-Site in Chicago, Illinois, USA

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 OTE

What you will do

  • Act as a subject matter expert for design tasks, maintaining and updating AEC equipment and networks.
  • Support Axis-based solutions primarily in a pre-sales capacity, managing research, site design, and integration questions.
  • Advise and make recommendations involving Axis hardware and software platforms.
  • Provide design training and best practices to the sales organization, partners, and customers.
  • Analyze tech support cases for trends and engage sales as needed.
  • Research and identify ways to provide better services and offerings to partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or post-secondary diploma in IT, networking, computer science, or security.
  • 3+ years of industry experience in customer-facing roles (systems design, engineering, project management).
  • Extensive system design and integration experience (site surveys, camera placement, network design, bandwidth/storage calculations, Visio, CAD).
  • Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, VPN’s).
  • Extensive knowledge of image quality, video transport protocols, and compression technologies.
  • Strong sales mentality, customer relationship, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Must be able to successfully perform physical demands including occasionally lifting 20-40 lbs, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
