Product Owner

What you will do

• Lead the transition from programme-based delivery to a sustainable Product Lifecycle Management model.
• Own and shape the end-to-end customer journey, ensuring seamless and efficient live service experiences.
• Drive adoption of a Product-Centric Approach across programme workstreams.
• Work closely with the Programme Manager to align programme delivery with strategic and tactical product objectives.
• Engage and influence stakeholders across the organization, balancing business, technical, and customer needs.
• Provide line management, coaching, and mentoring to a team delivering Product Lifecycle Management.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience and qualifications as a Product Owner.
• Extensive hands-on experience in product-centric delivery and facilitating transition to product lifecycle management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
• Solid understanding of project and Agile methodologies, including Scrum, sprint ceremonies, and backlog management, while considering accessibility and GDPR.
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects using project-management techniques including planning, dependency management, risk management, and issue resolution.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and influence senior leaders.

Nice to have

• Experience working within government, public sector, or regulated environments.
• Experience supporting or delivering digital services related to Policing, Law Enforcement, or Public Safety.
• Proven experience mentoring or developing product capability within teams.
• Experience operating within large, multi-workstream programs.
• Familiarity with service management and live service support models.
