Network Operations Engineer

TL;DR

Network Operations Engineer: Supporting and maintaining Cisco Enterprise network stack and Palo Alto firewalls with an accent on network infrastructure, security policies, and SD-WAN platforms. Focus on troubleshooting routing, switching, authentication, and security issues in a live banking environment.

What you will do

• Support and maintain hirify.global’s Cisco Enterprise network stack, including switching, routing, Meraki, and ISE.
• Administer and support Palo Alto firewalls, including rule management, security policies, NAT, and threat prevention features.
• Support and administer the SD-WAN platform (VMware VeloCloud), including edge devices and policy management.
• Monitor LAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and cloud connectivity performance to identify issues.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, authentication, SD-WAN, and security-related incidents.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, audit requirements, and regulatory controls.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience supporting Cisco enterprise networking environments.
• Practical experience with Cisco switching and routing, Cisco Meraki, and Cisco ISE.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PanOS) and proven experience supporting SD-WAN solutions.
• Highly desirable: VMware VeloCloud experience.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (OSPF/BGP preferred).
• Experience working in a regulated or security-conscious environment, such as banking.
• Certifications: CCNA or CCNP (Enterprise or Security preferred), Palo Alto certification (PCNSA or PCNSE desirable), and ITIL Foundation (v4).
