What you will do
- Provide highly complex technical support for systems and processes in mainframe environments, focusing on decommissioning and bug fixing.
- Maintain and migrate services according to Group standards and policies and agreed service levels.
- Assist with the delivery of investment funded work within mainframe environments.
- Provide technical support, including incident and problem resolution, for systems and processes in complex environments (including out of hours).
- Drive the strategy and design across the mainframe development and test estate.
- Work collaboratively across wider Middleware teams to develop, promote, and implement process initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of MQ infrastructure on zOS.
- Strong experience of MQ system performance tuning and diagnosis.
- Experience of supporting and troubleshooting critical on-line systems.
- Experience with Transport Layer Security (TLS).
- Ability to work in a hybrid model, attending the Edinburgh or Leeds office at least two days per week.
