Location: Must be a resident of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA, or VA. Candidates located in Washington state within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila are requested to come into HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. For those candidates outside the commute distance of Tukwila, the role will be remote within the approved states.

Salary: $173,500–$211,900 annually

What you will do

• Own delivery and execution for API platform outcomes, ensuring alignment to leadership direction and architectural guardrails.
• Align technology with business goals, shaping strategies and creating business cases, cost/benefit analyses, and roadmaps.
• Identify innovative solutions, leading RFPs, project charters, and business cases to bring innovation to life.
• Develop, coach, and elevate high-performing engineering teams through ongoing coaching and skill-building opportunities.
• Manage technical delivery, overseeing technical requirements and supporting continuous delivery teams for scalable, secure APIs built in C#/.NET on Azure.
• Champion agile practices and drive engineering best practices across the software lifecycle, including API consistency, versioning, and error handling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of people leader experience leading technology teams.
• 5+ years of information technology experience with demonstrated expertise in application design and API-driven or integration-focused architectures.
• Previous work experience building technology platforms and teams leveraging modern APIs, microservices, cloud-native services, or integration frameworks.
• Domain experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Infrastructure/Operations, or financial products (e.g., Credit Card, Mortgage, Auto Loan, Deposits).
• Must be a resident of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA, or VA.

Nice to have

• Experience with API gateways and API management platforms (e.g., Azure API Management).
• Demonstrated expertise in API design, design patterns, development, and lifecycle management (REST, GraphQL, event-driven architectures).
• Experience with API security standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).
• Experience operating APIs in cloud environments (preferably Azure), including observability practices.
• Delivery experience working under an Agile/Scrum methodology.
