TL;DR

Software Engineer (AI): Building and optimizing sell-side platform services and curation tools for hirify.global’s advertising business with an accent on backend scalability and cloud-native infrastructure. Location: Must be based within a 50-mile commute of the hirify.global office in New York City; hybrid work expected 4 days per week.

Salary: $158,400 – $258,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and build scalable backend services using C#/.NET and Azure infrastructure.
• Lead large-scale infrastructure migrations, including transition to Azure Kubernetes.
• Deliver full-stack features including UIs, APIs, and business-critical workflow tools.
• Manage production health, incident response, and system observability as a DRI.
• Integrate AI-powered features, including Copilot experiences and LLM workflows.
• Collaborate with partner teams to ensure system integration, security, and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Must reside within 50 miles of a designated hirify.global office.
• Experience in designing extensible, maintainable, and well-tested production code.
• Strong grasp of system architecture, performance, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Ability to drive technical strategy and lead incident retrospectives.

Nice to have

• Deep experience with C#/.NET and Azure (AKS, Functions, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and production-level observability tools.
