TL;DR
Major Sales Engineer (AI Security): Supporting strategic and enterprise customers by selling the full Cato platform, including Cato SASE and Cato’s AI Security capabilities with an accent on engaging deeply with enterprise customers, leading complex technical evaluations, and articulating the convergence of networking, security, SaaS, and AI security. Focus on driving new business, expanding existing accounts, and serving as the primary technical authority throughout the entire sales lifecycle.
Location: Must be based in the Carolinas region (North Carolina and South Carolina), with required travel throughout the assigned sales territory.

What you will do
- Lead technical validation of the Cato platform, including SASE and AI Security capabilities.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations aligned to customer business objectives.
- Partner with Account Executives to support new business acquisition and account expansion.
- Serve as the primary technical resource throughout the sales cycle, addressing objections and providing expert guidance.
- Conduct discovery sessions and technical deep dives to map customer use cases to Cato’s platform.
- Communicate customer feedback and stay current on SASE, SaaS security, and AI security trends.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or technical pre-sales professional, preferably selling enterprise Cybersecurity SaaS solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
- Strong technical background with demonstrated experience in SASE, networking, cloud security architectures, SaaS platforms, AI/machine learning security risks, APIs, Identity/IAM, SIEM, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes).
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills for executive, technical, and RFP audiences.
- Must be an organized, analytical, adaptable, and creative problem-solver.
