What you will do
- Create high-quality, photorealistic in-game characters and related content.
- Sculpt high-poly facial and body models and build mid-poly character geometry.
- Design, simulate, and refine clothing through sculpting and modeling.
- Simulate realistic hair using grooming tools, haircards, and hair textures.
- Create, refine, and optimize high-quality character textures, adapting assets to shader workflows.
- Develop character-related props, create and implement blendshapes.
- Ensure asset compatibility and integration in Unreal Engine, providing technical support.
- Perform technical quality control, including testing, debugging, and implementing feedback.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Character Artist in game development.
- Deep understanding of Unreal Engine 5 rendering pipelines and workflows.
- Portfolio demonstrating high-quality real-time human character work.
- Excellent knowledge of human anatomy and strong sculpting skills.
- Proficient in modeling and retopology, with awareness of rigging and animation requirements.
- Experience with cloth simulation, realistic hair simulation (haircards, textures), and blendshape creation.
- Solid understanding of UE5 shaders, real-time lighting workflows, and 3D wrapping tools.
- Proficiency with key tools including Maya, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Faceform (Wrap3D), Substance Painter, XGen, and GS Curve Tool.
