What you will do

• Define the long-term scientific vision for autonomous AI agents that handle end-to-end trip planning and management.
• Act as a strategic partner to product and engineering leadership to balance agentic capabilities with traditional UX tooling.
• Architect systems where natural language requests are mapped to structured intent, tool calls, and reliable platform interactions.
• Lead applied research in complex itinerary planning, memory management, and agentic evaluation methodologies.
• Design, prototype, and scale experimentation cycles, from offline evaluation to production A/B testing.
• Guide engineering teams in deploying high-impact GenAI systems that maintain user trust and service efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS or ML with 15+ years of experience (PhD with 12+ years preferred).
• Deep expertise in LLM tuning, multi-agent orchestration, and architecting ML platforms.
• Proficiency in agentic frameworks like LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen.
• Strong background in Recommender Systems, Context Engineering, and retrieval/memory management.
• Proven ability to deliver large-scale GenAI projects from research to production.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and reside in or relocate to San Jose or Seattle.
