What you will do
- Create/support custom 2D, 3D, particle, and shader visual effects.
- Work closely with art and development teams to create beautiful and well-performing VFX.
- Update, improve, or request art assets in optimal formats for VFX.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of Unity.
- Experience creating real-time VFX for mobile games (weapon, character, enemy, environment, UI effects).
- Proficiency with internal tools for building and verifying work results.
- Experience in creating 2D and 3D VFX.
- Experience writing and/or editing shaders for Unity projects (Shader Graph).
- Experience working with Particle systems in Unity.
- Knowledge of the render pipeline and how to achieve custom visuals.
- Knowledge of essential DCC software: 3D (Blender, Maya, 3ds Max) and 2D (Photoshop, Substance Designer) editor software.
- Skills in creating good-looking animation, including Unity animation approaches (Animator, Playable) and 12 principles of animation.
Nice to have
- Experience in creating complex custom VFX.
- Experience in creating and optimizing effects for mobile projects.
- 1+ year of experience with Amplify Shader Editor (or similar graph-based shader editors).
- Experience working with Unity prefabs and configuring additional scripts.
- Experience working with Unity Animation.
- Knowledge of any procedural generation software/tools for fluid simulation (e.g., Houdini).
- Experience in the integration of art assets into a game.
- Experience of animation in any 3D software (Maya, Blender).
- Have good artistic skills, understanding of composition basics, movement, and harmony of color.
