What you will do

• Operate and evolve a hybrid data lake (AWS + on-prem) ensuring performance, resilience, and secure connectivity.
• Manage and optimize ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for log ingestion, indexing, and performance.
• Build and maintain Prometheus-based observability, including metrics pipelines, alert rules, and Grafana dashboards.
• Manage and tune Kafka clusters and ecosystem components (topics, partitions, replication, ACLs, capacity planning).
• Provide platform integration support for service-to-service communication and ensure API lifecycle hygiene.
• Contribute to CI/CD practices and automation, including pipeline reliability and GitOps.
• Collaborate with security, network, and architecture stakeholders to ensure platform controls meet required standards.

Requirements

• Strong Linux fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments (deployments, upgrades, debugging, cluster/workload operations, network policies).
• Automation mindset: scripting (Python/Bash) and proficiency in Terraform/Ansible/Helm/Kustomize/GitOps.
• Strong knowledge of API gateway/service mesh patterns and secure ingress.
• Experience designing observability for serverless systems and implementing distributed tracing with tools like Elastic and Grafana.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification required.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes certification (e.g., CKA/CKAD).
• Good understanding of foundational AWS services like EKS, IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch.
• Sound understanding of authentication and authorisation patterns (OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, LDAP/Active Directory) and their integration with Kubernetes and AWS.
