TL;DR
Senior DevOps Engineer: Building and optimizing DevOps pipelines for a Regulatory Risk Model Execution Platform on Google Cloud with an accent on CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and automation. Focus on transforming the software landscape, coaching engineering teams, and solving complex technology problems using Kubernetes and ISTIO.
Location: Hybrid – at least two days per week (40% of your time) in one of our offices in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK.

What you will do
- Build and evolve DevOps pipelines for a Regulatory Risk Model Execution Platform on Google Cloud.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams supporting Java Spring Boot microservices, Next.js frontend, and Python model execution.
- Work with the latest DevOps tools, including Kubernetes, ISTIO, and Harness.
- Build solutions on Google infrastructure such as GKE, Cloud Run, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, BigQuery, GCS, CloudSQL, and HCV Vault.
- Coach and inspire software engineering teams, helping them upskill in relevant technology areas.
- Take ownership of specific technology or delivery problems and solve them, acting as an ambassador for DevOps.
Requirements
- Experience with cloud technology, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience of CI/CD pipeline creation and management (e.g., Harness, Jenkins, GIT, Terraform, GCP Deployment Manager).
- Experience of continuous monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, NewRelic, Splunk, Prometheus).
- Experience of continuous testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, SonarQube, Veracode).
- Experience with orchestration (Docker, Google Kubernetes Engine, Ansible) and IaC (Terraform).
- Ability to understand complex business requirements and create business-ready solutions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
