TL;DR
Senior DevOps Engineer (CI/CD): Designing, developing, and continuously improving CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for the software development lifecycle across diverse environments. Focus on architecting resilient, scalable systems, streamlining tasks with scripting, and implementing robust monitoring and logging solutions.
Location: Hybrid position. Must be based within commutable distance of London or Edinburgh, UK, or willing to relocate there prior to beginning employment.

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain resilient, scalable CI/CD systems for multiple products.
- Develop automation scripts and tools using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to streamline tasks.
- Collaborate globally with cross-functional teams to assess and improve DevOps practices.
- Lead technical sessions and workshops, promoting agile and modern DevOps methodologies.
- Produce clear, comprehensive documentation for CI/CD platforms.
- Establish and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and metrics systems for CI/CD processes.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in writing and maintaining scripts with a focus on test-driven development (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
- Solid systems background with a BS in Computer Science or related fields, plus experience in system administration.
- Hands-on experience with building and managing modern CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Jenkins (including pipeline-as-code).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across diverse, global teams and articulate technical concepts.
- Candidates for this role must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license. is unable to sponsor or obtain export licenses for this role.
Nice to have
- Background in managing heterogeneous environments (Linux, Windows, macOS) in production settings.
- Experience using configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and virtualization technologies (VMware), including deployment on cloud platforms like AWS.
- Experience with scaling Infrastructure-as-Code practices across hybrid systems.
- Proficiency with complex build systems, package management tools, artifact repositories (e.g., JFrog Artifactory), and security scanning.
- Ability to design and implement effective monitoring solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of version control systems (Git, SVN, Gerrit) and code review workflows.
