Salary: £89,739 - £99,710

What you will do

• Lead multiple data science and application development projects with autonomy, including designing, implementing, and delivering applications, data models, and data pipelines.
• Design, build, test, and deploy robust AI/ML and generative AI systems, ensuring scalability, security, and production-readiness on GCP.
• Diagnose complex issues, deliver high-quality technical solutions, and produce specifications and documentation.
• Lead team members and manage stakeholders, applying agile project management and software development best practices.
• Collaborate across the audit function to identify innovative opportunities for applying data science techniques.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and simple manner.

Requirements

• Experience leading application development and data science projects, involving generative AI, machine learning, and NLP.
• Proven ability to design and implement infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Ability to productionise data and AI models for non-technical users, applying software development best practices.
• Proficient with Python, SQL, and data analytics tools like PowerBI.
• Experience managing peers or junior colleagues on projects, ensuring quality and timeliness of delivery.
• Familiarity with version control and reviewing complex code.

Nice to have

• Experience in web application development (Django, Bootstrap, jQuery).
• Previous financial services, audit, or risk experience.
